-- MUNCHKIN/INSTRUCTIONAL/OCR PROGRAMS --
Munchkins (birth year 2021) - Our Munchkin program is for our littlest Lacey Soccer Club players. Munchkins meet Saturday mornings during the season (8 weeks, weather permitting). This intro-to-soccer program provides new players with their first touches on the ball through fun and exciting games. Volunteers from older soccer teams will assist the head coach to make the program fun while giving more individual attention to each player. During these 1-hour sessions, Munchkins will learn basic skills like dribbling, passing, aiming, and shooting.
Instructional (birth year 2020) - This two-day-a-week program (Thursday/Saturday for 8 weeks, weather permitting) provides our developing players with new skills that they will be using as they grow through our program. The players will learn individual ball skills, formations, speed and agility, and teamwork. The 1 hour sessions, provided by our SST trainers, are combined with warmups, drill based fun games followed by a scrimmage.
OCR (birth years 2019-2015)- The OCR program runs for 10 weeks during the season, with 1-hour practices on Thursdays and Saturday games. Games are played on Saturdays between 8am and 4pm (Unless changed by the coach). Depending on who the home team is, Recreational games can be held anywhere in Ocean County. Training is provided on Thursdays for each team by our SST trainers. Coaches of the team are able to run an additional, optional coaches practice during the week.
Important OCR information!
While all age groups can sign up, we require a minimum number of players to form a team.
In the event that there are not enough players in an age group to form a team, your registration would be refunded.
Each team must have a volunteer coach, there are little requirements to become a parent volunteer coach.
If you are interested in coaching, click the volunteer button when you register your player.
OCR Play-up requests will only be met if there is
A) Room on the team an age up, after all teams are formed at current ages.
B) A Board Member evaluates capability of playing with older players and approves playing-up
